ABOUT THE PROJECT

This story began when our client found a parcel of untouched woodland, bordered by protected wetlands, and the wish to build her dream home. She’d raised a large family, that now included 9 grandchildren, and our task was to create a home that would envelop her when she was home alone and function well when the house was full of family and friends. This is where Flannery Interiors came in and began to get to know the client, her families traditions and the meaningful memories that then became the inspiration for the project.

The result is an English style cottage that is nostalgic, cozy and full of charm. A pool, a basket ball court, a craft room and a kids room that includes a sunken lounge pit all create an environment of fun. For our amazing client, a cozy sitting room, a fabulous feminine bedroom suite, a small screened in porch for morning coffee and a walled kitchen garden for her love of gardening
- a true Grandma Cottage in the Woods.
