EDINA COUNTRY CLUB

LOCATION: Edina Minnesota

Design: Brown Cow Design in collaboration with Flannery Interiors

Project Type: Multi-level Remodel & Rebrand

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Over a 15 year period, Wendy Boyer of Brown Cow Design and Flannery Interiors were tasked to update many of the public spaces at the Edina Country Club. It began with the redo of the ballroom, a neutral color palette, custom wool carpet and crystal chandeliers increased their banquette sales significantly. Next came a large scale remodel of the lobby and living room which included walls covered in wool tartan fabric, antique chandeliers and a large custom limestone fireplace. A rebuild of the pool locker rooms infused a classic color palette with vintage framed bathing suits and brass fittings. Next came the “tennis shack” that had been an untapped space that once we created multiple seating options and real fresh summer feel to it, it became a hot spot to host smaller events with views of the golf course and the tennis courts. Our last large project was a complete over hall of the pub patio. Once a sea of tables and chairs, we did a complete space planning redesign, created an upper patio with two brick fireplaces for chilling Minnesota nights and created both lounge spaces and dining spaces. Large farm tables and more intimate bistro seating all surrounding a large planter box filled with boxwood and flowers. The space became the place to be. This collaboration was a dream!
